Svengali Design is a freelance graphic design consultancy based near Broadway, Sydney.
I develop advertising, digital and promotional marketing campaigns for a wide range of clients across a diverse mix of market sectors.
I am fully trained in how to create WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) an ISO International Standard, ISO/IEC 40500:2012. This involves designing Indesign to PDF documents enabling these documents to be read by optimizing screen readers and other devices used by people with visual impairment. This is much more comprehensive than tagged “text to speech” accessible documents. WCAG enables the user to be able to auto fill pdfs like forms and also tab through documents quickly to get to where they need without listening to the entire document or section. It’s a more in-depth way of making documents accessible and enables things like Tables to be read and can be used by a wider variety of e-readers and when used with other pdf plugins enables text to be read by people with dyslexia and other forms of visual requirements. This level of accessibility is now legally essential for any government published documents, fact sheets or forms (fillable or static) plus annual reports or other legal documents published on the net by any .edu or .gov company!
